Turkish military will remain in Azerbaijan for another year

General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly on November 10 approved the proposal of the President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to extend for another year the mandate of Turkish troops in Azerbaijan, Turkish media reported.

It is noted that the proposal was adopted by a majority vote.

Recall that the sending of Turkish troops in Azerbaijan was approved by the Turkish parliament November 17, 2020. Validity of the mission has been defined for the period of one year.

The scope of the mission, the number of staff and duration are determined by the Administration of the President of Turkey.
