The Turkish Armed Forces over the past week was neutralized by 87 militants of the RSC terrorist organization, including in the north of Iraq and Syria. This was announced by the press advice of the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey of the Akturk Zeki at a weekly briefing.
According to him, the Turkish Armed Forces continue to wage a decisive struggle with all types of threats both inside the country and abroad, and mainly with the terrorists of the RSC, DeASh and Fetö.
“87 militants were neutralized over the past week, including in the north of Iraq and Syria. Thus, the number of terrorists neutralized from the beginning of the year reached 1802, and from July 24, 2015 – 39 145,” said Akturk.
The representative of the Ministry of Defense noted that the number of terrorists neutralized during the Pençe – Kilit operation in the north of Iraq has increased to 630.
As part of the operation, 1373 units of weapons of various calibers and 766 339 ammunition were seized, 2,460 minutes and homemade explosives were destroyed, 771 caves and shelter were in an unsuitable state, he added.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan previously stated that since 1984, when the militants of the RSC for the first time carried out a terrorist attack in Turkey, thousands of employees of Turkish security forces, military and civilians died at the hands of this bloody organization.
The United States and the European Union introduced RKK to the lists of terrorist organizations.
In recent years, the RSC seeks to shift responsibility for bloody crimes in the region to its branches.
In Syria, the RKK terrorists are covered by the names Pyd and YPG, and in the last two years they call themselves “Syrian democratic forces.”
In Iran, RSC acts as “Party of Free Life of Kurdistan” (pjak).
