Turkish opposition will nominate one presidential candidate

In the presidential election in Turkey, the opposition will be represented by a single candidate, on Friday the leader of the Party of the Future, which is part of the opposition bloc of six parties, former Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Turkish media reports.

“We have an unambiguous agreement on the nomination of a single candidate. We will have one presidential candidate,” the politician said.

At the same time, Davutoglu did not specify who will become a presidential candidate from the opposition.

The candidate from the ruling party is the current president of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The opposition intends to nominate a candidate after the appointment of the election date.
