Turkish parliament will consider Swedish membership protocol in NATO

The bill on the ratification of the protocol on the accession of Sweden to NATO was submitted to the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Great National Assembly (Parliament) of Turkey.

The document was signed by the chairman of the parliament Numan Kurtulmush.

The justification for the protocol notes that the Turkish side “concluded that Sweden membership in NATO would contribute to Euro -Atlantic security, including Turkey’s safety”.
