The Baykar company presented its products at the Bamako Expo Fair (BAMEX’25), which this year was held for the first time in the capital of Mali, the city of Bamako, with the participation exclusively of Turkish companies.
At the exhibition, the company demonstrated large-scale models of the Bayraktar TB2, Bayraktar AKINCI, Bayraktar TB3 and Bayraktar KIZILELMA drones, and also presented to international delegations the capabilities and characteristics of its own equipment production.
Baykar is known in Africa primarily for the Bayraktar TB2 platform. The drone is in demand in African countries for its intelligence, surveillance and surgical strike capabilities.
Africa is one of the fastest growing markets for Baykar. The company’s products are used to counter threats to national security and provide a significant deterrence effect.
Among the countries of the African continent, Turkish UAVs manufactured by Baykar were chosen by Mali (the host country of the exhibition), Morocco, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Libya, Burkina Faso, Togo, Niger, Djibouti, Somalia, Rwanda, Kenya and a number of others.
Together with Turkish UAVs A number of payloads produced within the Turkish defense industry are also exported.
Since the start of UAV R&D in 2003, Baykar has received 83% of its revenue from exports. Over time, the company has become one of the top ten export leaders in all industries, and has become an export leader in the defense aviation industry.
Baykar, the world’s largest exporter of armed UAVs and making Turkey a leader in this field, has recently concluded more than 90% of export contracts.
To date, Baykar has signed export agreements with 37 countries.
