Türkiye Again Recommended Citizens To Refrain From Traveling To Sudan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey announced the deterioration of the situation in Sudan and recalled that the warning about trips and security measures, published on December 27, 2023, remained valid.

In the statement of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, citizens are strongly recommended to refrain from traveling to Sudan, if there is no extreme need.

Citizens who are already in the country are advised to show maximum caution.

“Persons for whom staying in Sudan is not necessary, it is recommended to leave the country if possible – air, road or sea transport – through the fastest and safest routes, while limited commercial flights are still available from Port Sudan,” the message said.

It is also recommended to monitor subsequent ads on official sites and on social networks of the Turkish Foreign Ministry and the embassy in Hartum.
