Türkiye and Egypt restored diplomatic relations at the level of ambassadors.
Turkey’s Foreign Ministry reported on Tuesday that Ankara proposed the candidacy of Mutla Sheen as an ambassador to Cairo, and the Egyptian side was Amra Elhams as the head of the diplomatic mission in Ankara.
The decisions were made in the light of instructions of the presidents of the two countries.
The foreign policy noted that this step is aimed at normalizing the relations of the two countries and meets the will and interests of the peoples of Turkey and Egypt.
