Türkiye and Indonesia have potential for cooperation in many areas

Turkey and Indonesia have the potential for cooperation in many areas, from defense industry to the economy. This was said to the “Anadola” Turkish ambassador to Jakarta Talip Kyuchukkjan.

He noted that Indonesia, the largest country in the Islamic world, is of great importance for Turkey.

“In this regard, it is important to reconsider the relationship between Indonesia and Turkey and improve them by carrying out structural reforms,” ​​he added.

Kuchukkan believes that the most important sphere of cooperation between Turkey and Indonesia is the defense industry.

According to him, the technologies developed by Turkey in recent years attract the attention of Indonesia and, thanks to the agreements in this area, the products of the Turkish defense industry began to enter the arsenal of the Indonesian army.

Ambassador noticed that in Turkey there are the largest companies included in the TOP-50 of the construction sector in the world.

Kyuchyukjan noted that Turkey and Indonesia seek to reach a trade volume of $ 10 billion. Currently, the turnover between the two countries is 3 billion dollars, of which $ 2.5 billion falls on the share of Indonesia, and $ 500 million for the export of Turkey.

Kyuchyukjan said that the fast and dynamic integration of Turkey with Europe, the Middle East, the Turkic republics and Balkans is reflected in matters of economics and security.

He noted that Turkey and Indonesia work together as part of international structures, such as the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the “Big Twenty” (G-20), D-8 and the Mikta.

According to the ambassador, two countries recently demonstrated readiness for closer cooperation within the framework of the UN and OIS in the fight against Islamophobia.
