The Main Directorate for Investments in Infrastructure under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey has announced an international tender for the implementation of the project “Development of the Railway Middle Corridor of Eastern Turkey.” The corresponding notification is published in the official messenger.
According to the document, to finance the project, the World Bank provided 660 thousand dollars. Additionally, the project will be co -financed by the Asian Bank for Infrastructure Investments (AAIB) and the Islamic Bank for Development.
The project consists of two components. The first – “Reconstruction and modernization of the Divrieg – Kars – border with Georgia” – will receive approximately 1 billion 339.2 million dollars.
The second component – “Project Management” – is supposed to be allocated $ 5.5 million.
Processing procedure for agreements financed by the World Bank will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of “On procurement for borrowers of the IPF of the World Bank” and will be open to all qualified companies and private individuals, as defined in these rules.
