Türkiye evacuates its citizens from Sudan

The Turkish Embassy in Khartoum announced that Turkish citizens who want to return home due to clashes between the army and the quick response forces in Sudan will be evacuated tomorrow, April 23.

The embassy’s statement says: “As a result of security assessments made in the light of ongoing conflicts throughout Sudan, a decision was made to evacuate our citizens through a third country tomorrow (Sunday, April 23) on land.”

“The issue of ensuring the safe evacuation of our citizens from Sudan was brought to the agenda by our president and Minister of Foreign Affairs in negotiations with his Sudanese colleagues and meetings with some third countries. The necessary preparations were made in coordination with our embassy in Khartom and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cases, ”the Turkish Embassy in Hartum reports.

The statement notes that citizens of third countries who requested assistance in this matter are also included in the evacuation plan.
