Turkey is preparing for serial production of a remotely controlled land robotic UKAP platform, developed by KatmerCaler and Aselsan.
The remotely controlled ground robotic UKAP platform is presented at the world’s largest aviation festival, cosmonautics and Technofest technologies in Izmir.
KatmerCler, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Katmerciler, Furkan Catmerjiler told Anadolu that at the festival in the Izmir the company introduced the UKAP platform and armored car Hizir 4×4.
According to him, the KatmerCler company has been producing armored defense machines since 2010, and the last three years has been working on the development of UKAP.
Katmerji noted that UKAP has both diesel and electric engines.
UKAP was developed as a universal unmanned platform to perform various tasks, starting from fire support for infantry assault units, material and technical supply, delivery of ammunition, water or medicines to the advanced and ending with the evacuation of the wounded from the battlefield.
The development process was carried out taking into account the proposals and notes of the Ground Forces, Security Forces, Police and Gendarmerie.

Hizir is ready to perform new tasks in Africa
Commenting on the Hizir 4×4 armored vehicle, Katmerji said that there are two versions of Hizir-I and Hizir-II.
He noted that the armored car is currently actively involved in the battlefield in various African countries.
“We are in contact with almost all the countries of Africa. We have implemented sales to many countries,” he added.
