Türkiye supported training of disabled people in Afghanistan

The Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Coordination (Tika) provided material support for professional training courses for persons with limited opportunities in the province of Dzhazuzhan in northern Afghanistan.

as part of the project, implemented in cooperation with the Tika branch in Mazari-Sharif and the Afghan Association of Protection of Persons with Disabilities, women will be provided with courses for the manufacture of solid and liquid soap, and men in such areas as production and repair of shoes, carpentry and welding metal structures.

The courses are designed for six months. There will be a total of 50 people with disabilities.

Speaking at the equipment ceremony, Tika coordinator in Mazar-Sharif Mikail Tashdemir, said that the agency will continue to support the low-income segments of the population of Afghanistan. “The period of searching for the work of students of the courses will be reduced thanks to the acquisition of professional skills,” said Tashdemir.
