In the Gemlik region of the West Turkish province of Bursa, an enterprise for the production of batteries for electric vehicles will be built.
In the opening ceremony of a new enterprise, which is built in the partnership of the initiative group “Turkish cars” and the Chinese energy company Farasis, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will take part.
The Ministry of Industry and Technologies of Turkey reported that the new enterprise will make a significant contribution to the promotion of the positions of the domestic electric car Togg.
The serial model of the first Turkish electric car Togg T10X has already left the conveyor, reminded the department.
A new enterprise with an area of 607 thousand square meters. m. will be located in the immediate vicinity of the Togg Automobile Plant in Bursa. The commissioning is scheduled for the end of 2024.
By 2031, the capacity of the enterprise is planned to be brought to a mark of 20 GW.
