At the III games of the university sports of the Turkic states held in Kyrgyzstan, Turkish athletes won 11 medals, of which three gold.
according to the University Sports Federation (Tüsf), the competitions were held in the city of Cholpon-Ata during the coordination of Tüsf. The tournament was attended by 451 athletes from Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
Turkish representatives won one gold and two bronze medals in judo. The women’s table tennis team won gold, the men’s team – silver. In the Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, Turkish teams took third places, and in chess, Turkish athletes received one gold and three silver medals.
President Tüsf Professor Mutlu Turkman congratulated all athletes who adequately presented Turkey and won the medals at the competitions.
