Prospects for the further development of inter -parliamentary relations, were the main topic of discussion at the meeting in the Majlis of Turkmenistan to meet with a visit by a delegation of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, the Turkmenistannistan today.
The Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanov, emphasized the special significance given by the country to strengthen the inter -parliamentary connections that directly contribute to the fruitful interstate dialogue in all areas.
Members of the delegation of the House of Representatives of the US Congress emphasized the significance of the policy of positive neutrality pursued by the sovereign Turkmenistan, which has become an effective tool for preventive diplomacy in order to strengthen global peace and security.
Having positively assessed the reached high level of Turkmen-American relations, which successfully develop today in bilateral and multilateral format, including the largest international and regional organizations, the parties confirmed the desire to give a new impetus to the traditional multifaceted partnership, originally built on the principles equal rights and mutual respect.
The possibilities were discussed for establishing closer ties between parliamentarians of the two countries and the exchange of experience in the field of lawmaking.
The parties expressed confidence that the activation of the inter-parliamentary dialogue will directly serve as the progressive increase in the political-diplomatic, trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian interaction of Turkmenistan and the United States of America, to strengthen the tons of friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
