A caravan with humanitarian aid left Turkmenistan for neighboring Afghanistan on October 7. This was reported by the International Information Center (IIC) of Turkmenistan.
According to the report, four trucks left in the direction of the border town of Kerki, through which the cargo will be delivered to the Afghan people.
The aid intended for victims of the recent earthquake included essential goods: medicines and medical supplies, textiles and food products.
The humanitarian action was organized on behalf of the chairman of the Khalk Maslahaty (People’s Council) of Turkmenistan Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
