Turnover Between Kyrgyzstan And China In Five Months Has Grown To $ 11.5 Billion

The volume of trade between Kyrgyzstan and China over the first five months of this year reached $ 11.5 billion. This was reported by the Kyrgyz National Information Agency “Kabar” with reference to the statement of the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Development and Reforms of the PRC Zhou Haibin.

As noted, Zhou Khabin announced these data at a meeting with the deputy chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan – Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and processing industry Bakyt Torobaev as part of his working trip to Beijing.

According to the Chinese side, the volume of bilateral trade increased by 48% compared to the same period of 2024. Last year, the turnover between the countries amounted to $ 23 billion.

Zhou Khabin emphasized that the further development of trade and economic ties with Kyrgyzstan is considered as an important priority. He also confirmed that the projects implemented, in particular in the field of transport infrastructure, are strategic and are carried out in accordance with the agreements reached at the level of heads of state.

As the Kabar agency specifies, during a visit to Beijing Torobaev held a number of meetings with representatives of Chinese state bodies and corporations, discussing the construction of key road highways.
