The volume of mutual trade between Tajikistan and the united Arab emirates in the first six months of 2025 increased by more than doubled. This was announced on July 16 in Dushanbe during the meeting of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, Vonovka Zavkizoda with the Minister of Economic Development and Tourism of the UAE Abdullo Ibn Tavkom al-Marry.
The interlocutors confirmed the desire to activate bilateral partnerships and expressed their readiness to use the unused potential in areas such as industry, “green” energy, agriculture, aviation, tourism and logistics.
The Minister of the Department of Sciences noted the importance of attracting investments from the UAE to the economy of Tajikistan and invited the parties to expand the format of cooperation with the participation of specialized funds and business circles.
Particular attention was paid to the project of the Rogun hydroelectric power station. The head of the Tajik department positively appreciated the participation of the Abu-Dabi development fund and called for the acceleration of the approval of the necessary documents for signing an investment agreement.
