Turkish Isbank announced the suspension of the use of the Russian Payment System “Mir”, the Bank’s press service reports.
It is noted that the bank seeks to conduct its activities in accordance with national and international laws, rules and principles. ISBANK emphasized that they saw and appreciated the US Treasury statement regarding the cooperation of financial organizations with the Mir payment system and decided to suspend operations with it.
Recall that Isbank began to accept Mir cards in its ATMs and POS-terminals in April 2019.
Mir maintenance was also stopped at DenizBank, the bank said: “Operations on the Mir card and the Russian currency in our bank are not carried out, cards are not accepted by ATMs.” Denizbank began reception of Mir cards in May of this year.
