Two Syrian Army Soldiers Were Killed As Result Of PKK/YPG Attack In Syria

PKK/YPG terrorists, operating under the name Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), attacked the positions of the Syrian army in the province of Raqqa.

As reported by the Syrian news agency SANA, the attack occurred early in the morning in one of the settlements of the Madan region: two Syrian army soldiers were killed.

In response, the Syrian armed forces opened fire on the positions of the terrorists, carried out a successful counterattack, and regained control of previously lost lines and forced the militants to retreat.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the situation in the area has been completely stabilized. “Our forces responded to the sources of fire, conducting a direct counterattack, as a result of which the positions were retaken under control and the attacking forces were driven out of the area,” follows from the defense department.
