Tyumen region announced an urgent evacuation due to floods

In the Kazan and Ishim districts of the Tyumen region of the Russian Federation, as well as in the city of Ishim, urgent evacuation of the population begins. This was announced by the governor of the region Alexander Moor in his Telegram channel.

According to him, the Roshydrometeorological Center specified the forecast for the level of water, which will be significantly higher than previously expected.

The governor noted that according to the new scenario, the number of flooded settlements in the Tyumen region is increasing, and the likelihood of breaking down or overflowing through them is growing.

“We are starting urgent evacuation. Our experts went around all the houses that threaten large water, informed everyone personally. Collect valuable things! Immediately move to a safe place – to relatives or to temporary accommodation points,” Moor said.

Meanwhile, the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies, Alexander Kurenkov from the air, will evaluate the situation with the flood in the most difficult areas of the Kurgan region. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Russian Federation.

“Alexander Kurenkov, together with the governor of the Kurgan region, Vadim Shumkov, flew by the Mi -8 Ministry of Emergencies helicopter to monitor the most difficult regions of the region,” the department said.
