Dozens of illegal migrants rescued off Turkish southwest coast

The Turkish coast guard service saved another 30 illegal migrants off the coast of the tourist region of Bodrum in the southwestern province of Mugla.

Migrants tried to cross the Aegean Sea on an inflatable boat, but the Greek military, in violation of the norms of international humanitarian law, forcibly expelled them into the territorial waters of Turkey.

Employees of the coast guard delivered migrants to land.

Upon completion of legal procedures, the rescued were taken to the migration department of the province of Mugla.

Earlier, Turkey’s coastal guard saved 14 migrants off the coast of the Marmaris district in Mugle.
