Ukraine and Albania signed an agreement on friendship and cooperation between two countries

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Prime Minister of Albania Eddie Rama, during a meeting in a tyrant, signed an agreement on friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

“According to the contract, Ukraine and Albania will develop mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of trade, economics, science and technology, culture, education, healthcare, media, tourism and sports. It is also provided for the establishment of commercial contacts between state and private enterprises and organizations two countries, ”the press service of the President of Ukraine said in a statement.

The parties will also cooperate in the field of environmental protection, the use of environmentally friendly technologies and the rational use of natural resources.

In addition, Ukraine and Albania will cooperate in the fight against organized crime, terrorism, drug trafficking, human trafficking, smuggling of all kinds, including cultural and historical values.

“The document will contribute to the development of cooperation with Albania and strengthen the positions of Ukraine in the Balkan region,” the report said.

Before signing the agreement, Zelensky awarded Rama the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise. As noted on the presidential website, the Order of Yaroslav the Wise degree Rama “was awarded for a significant contribution to strengthening interstate cooperation, support for state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, the popularization of our state in the world”

“From the first days of the full -scale invasion, Albania supported Ukraine, our struggle for freedom and territorial integrity. We will also never forget the warm attitude of your society to Ukrainians, forced to leave the house because of the war,” Zelensky said during a meeting with the prime minister Albania.

During the opening of the Ukrainian-South-East Europe summit, the President of Ukraine proposed holding a special Ukrainian-Balkan Forum of defense industries to strengthen the military potential of the region.

According to Zelensky, today about 500 defense companies are operating in Ukraine in various fields, but this is not enough to defeat the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

“Therefore, we are interested in cooperation with you (Balkans) and all partners. Our government team will present details. And we propose to hold a special Ukrainian -Balkan forum of defense industries in Kiev or in one of your capital,” the president said.
