Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrey Sibiga and the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas held a joint press conference in Kyiv.
The parties discussed military and energy support for Ukraine, sanctions against Russia, the use of frozen assets of the Russian Federation and the advancement of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
Andrey Sibiga expressed gratitude Kae Kallas for personal leadership in mobilizing European support for Ukraine.
According to him, the priority of Ukrainian diplomacy remains protecting the energy infrastructure and strengthening the country’s resilience before the winter period.
“Russia seeks to weaken the spirit of our people by attacking energy facilities. We, together with our partners, are strengthening the protection of the energy system and are grateful to the EU for its comprehensive assistance,” the minister noted.
He said that Ukraine had transferred to the European Union a list of equipment and resources necessary to ensure energy stability.
