NATO received a request of Ukraine on international assistance in case of emergency situations “of different character”, which may affect the civilian population, the Alliance states, writes RIA Novosti.
“The State Emergency Situations of Ukraine is preparing for large-scale emergency situations of various nature, which may affect the civilian population. In accordance with these procedures on February 15, 2022, the Euro-Atlantic Coordination Center for Epic Disaster and Disaster (EADRCC) received a request for international help from Ukraine, “- reported in the statement.
EADRCC is the main NATO response mechanism for civil emergencies in the Euro-Atlantic region.
