Ukraine asked Israeli intelligence on military support by Iran of Russia

Ukraine asks Israel to share intelligence on any support that Iran provides the Russian military in the war. This was reported by Axios by senior Israeli officials.

It is noted that on September 7, in Kyiv, the deputy head of the Israeli department for Europe and Asia Simon Galperin and the Israeli ambassador met with the special representative of Ukraine on the Middle East Maxim Subho.

Subh said that Ukraine wants to create a “dialogue channel” with Israel for the exchange of intelligence and coordination of positions. This, Subh emphasized, is especially important in connection with the growing military cooperation between Iran and Russia.

He also added that Ukraine opposes the abolition of sanctions against Iran in the event of signing a nuclear agreement that is designed to expand the partnership of Tehran and Moscow.

According to Israeli officials, Kyiv hopes for the clear position of Israel regarding the war, which the country avoided for a long time due to its own connections with Russia.

In Ukraine, the publication confirmed the fact of the meeting, saying that the conversation basically concerned Iranian drones.

“The Israelis provided us with certain information, but we need more,” said a senior Ukrainian official.
