Ukraine found an alternative to Russian gas

Ukraine has agreed with Slovakia on increasing gas supplies from Europe. This is reported by the Slovak gas transmission operator Eustream, reports “Gazeta.ru”.

“As a result of Neustream negotiations, it will temporarily change all the transport capacity at the” Budinets “(42 million cubic meters per day) to a fixed in winter (until the end of the first quarter of 2022),” the Eustream message says.

It is noted that such a mode will be valid until the end of the heating season, after which the power in the “Budinz” will return to previous indicators: 27 million cubic meters of gas per day and 15 million cubic meters of gas per day with interrupted bandwidth.

According to the Kommersant newspaper, Ukraine is still not using the current gas import capacity available at the moment. In January 2022, only 14.5 million cubic meters of fuel was delivered through the item “Budinz”.
