President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky reported plans to cancel a visa -free regime with Russia.
in the framework of counteracting unprecedented threats of national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state, suggested the Cabinet of Ministers to work out the issue of revising the regime of entry of Russian citizens into Ukraine, ”Zelensky said in his telegram channel.
It is expected that already on Friday the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers will accept a decree on the termination of the agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on visa -free trips of citizens of Ukraine and the Russian Federation and the application of some international treaties of Ukraine with the Russian Federation.
According to Ukrainian media, the visa regime for citizens of Russia will be introduced from July 1.
