Ukraine returned on Sunday, June 15, the bodies of another 1,200 military personnel who died during the conflict with Russia. This was announced by the Ukrainian coordination headquarters for prisoners of war.
The exchange of bodies was agreed during the Ukrainian-Russian negotiations in Istanbul.
“The next stage of repatriation measures was completed, 1200 bodies were returned to Ukraine. Today, these actions were continued as part of the agreements reached in Istanbul. Another 1200 bodies, which, according to the Russian side, belong to Ukrainian citizens, including military personnel, were returned,” the headquarters said.
