“The liberation of people from Mariupol may take place in the exchange format during the meeting of the negotiation delegations of Ukraine and the Russian Federation in a blocked city. The defenders of Mariupol will not lay down weapons upon exit.” This was stated by a member of the Ukrainian negotiation delegation, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak.
He specified that the Ukrainian delegation invites Russian to come to Mariupol in order to take people out of a blocked city as a result of negotiations, and continue to solve issues from a military point of view.
“Why do you need to gather a certain number of people there, for example, negotiators on both sides? In order to say that this is not the delivery of people. In my opinion, a single mechanism, when we and someone from the Russian side, Then we will agree that this is an exchange, for example. That is, we give a certain number of prisoners, but we take our people, ”said Podolyak.
