Ukraine: We continue efforts to extend terms of Black Sea Grain Initiative

Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Development of Gromad, territories and infrastructure of Ukraine Alexander Kubrakov said that they were continuing efforts to extend the terms of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

The minister wrote on the Twitter social network about the negotiations on May 10-11, held in STVMBUL.

“Two -day negotiations on the Black Sea Grain initiative in Istanbul ended, the UN and Turkey offered further online re -reprints. The Ukrainian delegation insists on continuing the initiative and emphasizes the need to renew the fleet and inspections without delay,” Kubrakov wrote

Earlier, the Minister of National Defense of Turkey, Hulushi Akar, said that thanks to the efforts of Turkey, the Black Sea grain initiative is being implemented, within the framework of which over 30 million tons of agricultural products were received in needing countries.

“On May 18, the agreement expires. We are working to ensure that its implementation continues. Deputy Ministers of Defense of Turkey, Russia and Ukraine yesterday and today work with UN observers. We express hope for the extension of the agreement, this is beneficial to everyone,” the head said departments.

Along with this, Ankara holds negotiations for the safe exit of his ships, still waiting in the ports of Ukraine, Akar said.
