German defense concern Krauss – Maffei Wegmann received permission from the federal government for the supply of Ukraine 18 howitzers RCH 155. This was reported by DPA with reference to the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers of Germany.
The cost of the contract is 216 million euros. They will be delivered only after 2.5 years. The concern began production only after Berlin approved the future supply.
In Ukraine, they demand from Germany to send offensive weapons, but in Berlin they repeatedly said that they would not make such decisions alone.
According to the previously presented report by the Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection of the Federal Republic of Germany, Germany has already put to Ukraine military goods in the amount of 686 million euros. Thus, Ukraine has become the most important recipient of German weapons among states that are not part of NATO and not partners of the Alliance.
