Ukrainian ambassador was called to Israeli Foreign Ministry

of the Ukrainian ambassador to Israel Evgeny Korniychuk was called to the Israeli Foreign Ministry after Kyiv supported the Palestine initiative to appeal to the Hague International Court for Legal Conclusion on the long -term occupation of the western bank of the Jordan River. This was reported by Israeli radio KAN with reference to sources.

According to them, the ambassador will protest in connection with the result of the vote of the Ukrainian representative in the Committee on Special Political Issues and UN Decolonization issues. In Israel, they were outraged by the pace of Kyiv.

“This step is outrageous. We will find a way to express our dissatisfaction with Ukrainians. We will invite the ambassador and think about how else to answer,” said Amir Weisbrod.

Earlier, the Israeli ambassador to Ukraine said that “Ukraine support anti -Israeli resolutions to the UN does not contribute to trust and understanding between countries.”

On November 11, the UN Committee on Special Political Issues and Decolonization issues approved the initiative put forward by the Palestinian side to appeal to the International Court of Hague for legal conclusion on the long -term occupation of the western bank of the Jordan River. 98 countries, including Ukraine, supported the initiative, 17 states spoke out against, 52 abstained.
