Ukrainian Foreign Ministry called on Serbia not to allow RT broadcasting

Kyiv calls on Belgrade not to make a decision on the broadcasting of the Russian Russia Today television channel on the territory of Serbia, since the provision of permission will not comply with the Serbia course as a country striving for EU membership, the speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko wrote on his Facebook page.

Foreign media today, November 14, distributed information that the Serbian government implies the ability to consider the broadcasting of the Russian media company Russia Today.

“Let me remind you that aggression against Ukraine is regularly justified on the air of the company and calls for Ukrainians genocide. RT has nothing to do with freedom of speech and journalism. Propaganda and misinformation that this channel spreads will not benefit the Serbian society”, – summarizes Nikolenko.

He also added that the Serbian government should realize: at any time, RT can begin to shake the situation already in Serbia itself.
