Ukrainian military learn to manage Turkish Bayraktar

A group of 75 Ukrainian servicemen takes place in Turkey preparation for the use of drum unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) Bayraktar TB2.

Kopytin noted that Ukrainian specialists are held a course of theoretical training and receive practical skills on the operation and maintenance of drones in the following specialties: OPLA operator, technician-mechanic BADAC, technician-avionik BPACK.

According to him, due to the qualitative organization of the host and the responsible approach of military personnel, two exams have already been successfully commissioned. Igor Kopyin stressed that in the future these teachings and training can be carried out in Ukraine.

The deputy also stated that negotiations were held with the Turkish side for construction in the city of Vasilkov of the Training and Technical Center for Ukrainian servicemen.

Agreement between Kiev and Ankara about the purchase of Turkish Bayraktar TB2 for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was concluded in 2019. At the same time, the Ukrainian land army was at its disposal six BPLA companies of Baykar Makina, one of the leading producers of drones in Turkey.
