Russian and Ukrainian troops continued offensive operations on the Svatovo -Kremennaya line. This is discussed in the report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
Institute, citing Ukrainian sources, reports that Ukrainian troops are fighting near Kremennaya. In particular, the head of the Lugansk Regional Military Administration, Sergei Gaidai, noted on December 26 that the fighting is carried out near Kremennaya and that the Russian command from Kremennaya was evacuated to Rubezhnoye, about 10 km to the southeast. At the same time, Gaidai denied reports of the liberation of the Kremeny Ukrainian troops and called for patience.
Russian troops continued offensive operations in the Bakhmut area on December 25 and 26. The summary also noted that Russian sources argued that the troops of the Russian Federation have achieved limited success to the northeast of Bakhmut. Also, Russian forces continued terrestrial attacks along the western outskirts of Donetsk.
