On the eve of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Alexei Reznikov, announced the arrival of reactive systems of salvo fire Himars from the USA. The first tranche, according to open data, included four units of MLRS.
Himars – an American high -mobile reactive system of volley fire, developed in the late 90s, is designed to defeat areas of concentration of artillery systems, air defense and fire support, freight vehicles, combat vehicles and armored personnel carriers, as well as to provide fire support to their units . The system is designed for firing controllable and uncontrollable missiles. The maximum range is 300 km. Ukraine has so far been handed over missiles up to 80 km.
