Foreign Minister of Mongolia Batmunhyn Batzesg and the Minister of Foreign and Internal Affairs Singapore Sim Ann discussed the prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation.
As Montsame reports, the meeting was held as part of events dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries.
at the beginning of the negotiations, the Minister Batzesg noted the significance of the anniversary of diplomatic ties and expressed gratitude to Singapura for participating in the 10th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Forum for Cooperation “East Asia-Latin America” (Fealac), which was chaired by Mongolia.
The head of the department emphasized that the development of relations with the states of Southeast Asia, including Singapore, occupies an important place in the foreign policy of Mongolia in the Asia-Pacific region. The Minister confirmed the readiness of Ulan-Bator to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with Singapore, which is an influential member of the Association of Southeast Asia (ASEAN).
, in turn, Minister Sim Ann congratulated Mongolia on the successful organization of the Fealac meeting and expressed the interest of Singapore in the further strengthening of bilateral ties.
