UN: 2050 Another 80 Million People Will Suffer From Hunger

Another 80 million people will suffer from hunger by 2050, said the Supreme Commissar of the UN Human Rights Folker Turk.

In the publication on the platform X, the Turk noted that every tenth man in the world is faced with hunger.

“Climate change can lead to the fact that by 2050, another 80 million people will experience hunger,” he wrote.

According to him, the problem is not associated with a lack of food, but with systems that make food inaccessible, expensive and unbalanced.

“We need food and land use systems based on equality, sustainability and human rights,” added Turk.
