UN: agreement in Istanbul does not guarantee anything

Secretary General of the UN Conference for the Trade and Development of Rebka Grinspen stated that the agreement on Ukrainian grain is an act of strengthening confidence and “no guarantees that the parties will not impede the removal of agricultural products,”

. ”

She noted that the Istanbul agreement will help reduce the “operating costs” by removing food tension and stopping the increase in prices.

“The agreement concluded in Istanbul will reduce the obstacles in the delivery, insurance and payment of goods, so the price of transactions will decrease. The increase in grain prices is half due to factors related to transport and logistics prices,” she said.

Recall that on the eve of Istanbul by Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the UN, an agreement was signed on the transportation of agricultural products blocked in Ukrainian ports. It implies the creation of a joint coordination center, which will ensure the safe movement of ships from three Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea – Odessa, Chernomorsk, South.
