UN: completely open for tourists only three countries

Almost 30% of countries are still completely closed for tourists. This is stated in the report of the World Tourism Organization of the UN (UNWTO), to which Rosbalt refers.

“As of June 1, 29% of all countries and destinations are still completely closed for international tourism, more than half of them – from May 2020 or longer,” is indicated in the report.

It also noted that most of these countries are located in the Asia-Pacific region.

Fully open for tourists without restrictions of only three countries in the world – Albania, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic. 34% of countries are partially closed, with 36% of them from travelers require a test for coronavirus, sometimes quarantine. In the Asia-Pacific region, 70% of directions are now closed, while in Europe – only 13%. In Northern and South America, this figure is 20%, in Africa – 19%, in the Middle East – 31%.

In countries where the most rigorous travel restrictions apply, there is the lowest level of vaccination.
