According to her, thousands of people in areas under the control of the Russian military were also injured. “At the moment, about 2200 people have been evacuated or left the region,” the press secretary said.

Mantu said that the priority needs of the inhabitants of the region are access to pure water, hygiene and sanitation.

The UN representative stated that hundreds of thousands of people were deprived of access to safe drinking water.

She warned that the water gathering would have serious humanitarian consequences.
