The UN Secretary General Antoniu Gutherresh condemned acts of the manifestation of Islamophobia and announced solidarity with the Muslim community.
This was announced at a meeting with a group of the ambassadors of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OII) in New York.
GUERRISH emphasized that the UN will make efforts to fulfill the resolution of the Human Rights Council “to combat anti -religious hatred leading to discrimination, hostility and violence.”
The Secretary General of the organization also expressed solidarity with the Muslim community.
The General Secretary condemned the intolerance, violence and acts of Islamophobia, “which lead to the escalation of tension and provoke discrimination and radicalization.”
