The Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) Antoniu Guterrish resolutely condemned the recent large -scale blows of drones and missile systems of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
The statement, widespread by the press secretary of the UN Secretary General Stefan Duzharrik, says: “The General Secretary decisively condemns the large-scale blows of the Russian Federation using drones and missiles, which are the largest over the past three years of the war.”
GUTERRASH noted his concern to the situation, which he called the “dangerous escalation and victims among the civilian population”: “These attacks violated the power supply of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant and once again emphasized the persistent risks for nuclear safety.”
“attacks on the civilian population and civil infrastructure are prohibited by international law and must be immediately terminated, such actions are a violation of international law,” the UN Secretary General said.
Antoniu Guterres called for a complete, immediate and unconditional end of fire “in Ukraine as a first step” on the way to a fair, comprehensive and sustainable world “in accordance with the UN Charter, international law and the corresponding resolutions of the UN, calling for the immediate cessation of hostilities between the two countries.
