UN Secretary General is grateful to Turkey for efforts of grain transaction

UN Secretary General Antoniu Guterres expressed the gratitude of Turkey for the efforts in the framework of the Black Sea Grain initiative. This is stated in the statement, widespread by the press secretary of the head of the World Organization, Stefan Duzharrik.

GUERRISH called for the continuation of the agreement, emphasizing that its full implementation is extremely important for the global food market.

As noted in the document, in the aggregate these agreements contribute to a sustainable reduction in world food prices.

The UN Secretary General also sent a letter to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the eve of the Russian Federation, in which he outlined his proposals for further implementation of agreements on the supply of Russian and Ukrainian products – food and fertilizers – to world markets.

In his message, the Secretary General emphasized the importance of the further implementation of the Memorandum of understanding and the “urgent need to preserve the Black Sea initiative.”

Antoniu Guterres also confirmed his commitment to a further dialogue with all interested parties and the willingness to discuss his proposals with Russia.
