Unemployment rate in Turkey has decreased to an unambiguous indicator

The unemployment rate in Turkey in the first quarter of 2023 amounted to 9.9 percent and thereby for the first time from January-March 2018, it fell to a clear indicator. This was announced by the Minister of Treasury and Finance Turkey Nuddin Nebati on Twitter.

The head of the Ministry of Finance noted that thanks to the concept of the “Turkish economic model” in the country, new jobs are opened.

“Employment in Turkey in the first quarter of this year increased by 195 thousand people compared to the previous quarter and reached 31.6 million people. Thus, the unemployment rate in the first quarter of the year dropped to 9.9 percent,” wrote it Nebati, commenting on the data of the Turkish Statistics Institute for Unemployment for January-March 2023.

The head of the Ministry of Finance assured that Turkey will continue a policy aimed at growing employment in the country.
