US Secretary of Defense Peter Hegseth announced that four ships suspected of transporting drugs were attacked in the Pacific Ocean, as a result of which 14 of the 15 people on board were killed.
Hegseth, in a statement published on the social network of the American company X, shared details and published videos showing how In the Pacific Ocean, four ships were fired upon, allegedly carrying large quantities of drugs to the United States.
Stressing that the attacks were carried out on the orders of US President Donald Trump, Hegseth said: “The US Department of Defense carried out three lethal kinetic strikes on four vessels involved in drug trafficking in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and controlled terrorist organizations.”
Hegseth claims that these vessels, tracked by US intelligence, “traveled known drug trafficking routes and transported drugs.”
Stressing that the attacks took place in international waters and no American soldiers were injured, the Secretary of Defense noted: “In three attacks, 14 narco-terrorists were killed, one person survived.”
Hegseth also said that the US Department of Defense has defended “foreign homelands” for more than 20 years, and is now fighting “to defend our homeland.”
In his message, the Secretary of Defense emphasized that members of this gang, bringing drugs into the country, have killed more American citizens than the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda, and therefore will be subjected to “the same treatment” as this terrorist organization.
