US Ambassador to China Nicholas Berns demanded that Beijing stop the guilt for the war in Ukraine in the Western countries and, in particular, NATO, calling this point of view of the “false” and pro -Russian. The words of the diplomat are given on Monday by Bloomberg.
“I hope that representatives of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs will cease to accuse NATO of unleashing the conflict. This is Russian propaganda. I also hope that they will stop disseminating false allegations about American biological weapons laboratories, which are actually not in Ukraine,” – He said at the forum at the University of Tsinhua, answering the question of the role of China in the resolution of war in Ukraine.
As Bloomberg notes, the forum was attended by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to China Andrei Denisov. Speaking to Burns, he thanked the PRC “for a balanced and balanced approach”, and also expressed hope that “Beijing would be able to influence the neighbors of Ukraine so that they take a more realistic position in the issue of resolving the conflict”.
