The US State Department imposed sanctions against 11 Iran officials, accusing them of involvement in human rights violations in the Islamic Republic.
Secretary of State Anthony Blinken condemned “ongoing offenses in Iran.”
“We are fully determined to maintain the requirements for the respect of the freedoms and rights of the Iranian people who have encountered the cruel person of the Iranian regime,” said the head of American diplomacy.
