The United States decided not to send part of the ammunition previously declared for the supply of Ukraine.
The decision was made following the testing of the Pentagon of the Military Assistance Program to foreign countries, said Anna Kelly, Deputy Spokesman of the White House.
Kelly emphasized that the supply of some ammunition, which was supposed to be transferred to Ukraine during the presidency of Joe Biden, are suspended “in order to prioritize the interests of the United States.”
“The power of the United States Armed Forces cannot be doubted. You can ask Iran about it,” said the representative of the US defense department.
According to American officials who wished to remain unnamed, the decision to suspend the sending of a number of ammunition is due to the fact that, according to the results of the audit, the Pentagon revealed a reduction in stocks of certain types of weapons.
